Now that the Biden administration has been installed, there are a variety of immigration proposals on the table. Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) will probably remain intact. The travel ban has been lifted. There are expected improvements to the H-1B program. Biden is also expected to remove the limits the previous administration placed on how many Asylum cases can be improved. Like previous Democratic presidents, Biden has proposed a path to legalization for all undocumented immigrants in the U.S. as of January 1, but this will require comprehensive reform and bipartisan support.
